“May God himself, the God who makes everything holy and whole, make you holy and whole, put you together—spirit, soul, and body—and keep you fit for the coming of our Master, Jesus Christ. The One who called you is completely dependable. If he said it, he’ll do it!” 1 Thessalonians 5:23
JOYFULLY FIT MISSION
EXERCISING FAITH AND FITNESS
On mission to inspire others towards physical, emotional and spiritual wellness. To provide tools and resources that grow healthy and whole hearts for living out bold lives that showcase the marvelous glory and existence of God.
Be healed, Be filled, Be brave.
Be healed, Be filled, Be brave; Be healed by continually turning to Christ as your redeemer for the sin and pain in your heart. Be continually filled with God’s power by the Holy Spirit as you honor your body as His temple. Choose to bravely carry out your unique call, strengths and spiritual gifts because it is God who does the heavy lifting and we get to be a part of His grand plan.
Jesus always: Isaiah 26:3, Acts 17:20 Follow His example in every situation, keep a steadfast mind on Him and yield to His spirit
Fight for Freedom: Get free, stay free and then set others free in body, mind, soul and spirit. Galatians 5:1
Make it fun: Proverbs 17:22, Ephesians 3:10-20, Romans 8:28 Stay optimistic, think higher thoughts, rejoice always, be well and thrive
Be brave: 2 Corinthians 12:9 Take risks, grow, be stretched
Embrace the strengths, gifts and calling we’ve been given and without comparison to others, let God bring forth the fruit he has put in us. 1 Peter 2:9, 2 Peter 1:10, Proverbs 4:26-27
THE INTEGRATED FITNESS APPROACH
Integrated fitness means combining different areas of health and fitness to see results beyond bodily fitness. Results that include consistency, healing, strength, mental resilience, wisdom and a faith strong enough to breakdown walls of doubt and insecurity.
Having an integrated approach to being fit is the only way to find adherence, fulfillment and happiness in living. 5 Critical elements to this mindset are: Mental, Nutritional, Physical, Spiritual and Environmental–all which exercise is necessary in applying. Too much focus on one of these areas can distract you from the rich benefits of tuning up the other pieces of yourself. You are not just a physical body that needs “shaping up” according to mainstream fitness. You are also not simply a mouth that needs nutrient-dense feeding. You are an all encompassing mind, body, spirit, and soul . You may not realize it yet, but you have a great calling by God and He has given you influential gifts and talents! Making sure to EXERCISE FAITH AND FITNESS will boost you in life, vitality and impact.
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength. The second is EQUALLY important: Love your neighbor as yourself.” Mark 12:30-31
It’s easier said than done, but here we will learn, grow, play and pray with each other as we seek out better relationships with ourselves, the people around us and our Maker, God.
Remember this: Your waistline can be measured. Your weight can be measured. The calories in Breakfast can be measured. But do you know what cannot be? THE LOVE OF CHRIST. That and only that will ever bring you HONEST FULFILLMENT and COMPLETION in all of the 5 elements listed above. You my dear, are FIT for Christ already. This truth will unravel in blog postings to come!
